We’re encouraging those who have not yet had their first appointment with a midwife to download our brand new ‘Maternity Notes’ app!
Replacing the traditional paper notes, this new app provides a week-by-week overview of baby’s development and access to lots of helpful information and guidance.
It gives our women easy access to appointment notes and reminders of upcoming events such as scans and blood tests. You can even keep a personalised birthing plan and can record any thoughts or concerns in a diary; helping you remember all those important moments in the pregnancy journey.
The launch of the app takes place during a key transition period for the trust – as it moves from paper to electronic patient records – and this digital transformation will ensure the data of our women is kept in an accessible yet secure place.
For both the women and our clinicians, using the app means key information will be available when and where it’s needed and will ultimately save on paper, however please note that the app is not a way of contacting your midwife – women should contact their GP or triage department with any concerns.
Search ‘Maternity Notes’ on the App Store/Google Play or ask your midwife for more information!
Important: Do not download the app if you’ve already had your first antenatal appointment as paper documents will have already been issued.
