Visitors to Walsall Manor Hospital have been welcomed back on to wards since mid-May, with arrangements kept under review to ensure the ongoing transmission risk of Covid-19 is minimised.

Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust works closely with Public Health Walsall and has robust controls in place to monitor prevalence in the community.

There are currently no plans to change visiting arrangements. These are being continually reviewed and Walsall Healthcare’s website and social media will be updated should the situation change.

Anyone planning to visit a patient at Walsall Manor Hospital is encouraged to show evidence they have taken a Covid-19 test (Lateral Flow Test) which has shown a negative result beforehand. Free testing kits are available via Boots, Lloyds, supermarket pharmacies and many local pharmacies, and a testing bus is available outside the main entrance to the hospital

If visitors have been unable to take a Covid-19 test they can take one at the hospital. A test bus is available near to the main entrance of the hospital between 12.30pm and 5.30pm for visitors to take a test – but they must arrive 45 minutes before their allocated visiting time to do so and report to the Welcome Hub in the main reception first.

Please remember to book a slot online – one visitor per patient per day is allowed to come into the hospital and stay for up to an hour with the patient.

Same-day visiting slots need to be booked from 8am until 4pm. Slots cannot be booked days in advance. The online booking form can be accessed here: https://forms.office.com/r/T7rAPnMejK.

A confirmation email should be received two hours before the slot – if this is not the case please contact the Welcome Hub on 01922 444040.

If people cannot access the link they can email visiting@walsallhealthcare.nhs.uk. And those who need additional support can also contact the Welcome Hub.

Visitors should not contact wards directly to make arrangements
