Opportunities to support patients to remain safe and well in their own homes are being offered through Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust as it looks to boost the teams that work in its community services.

The trust is looking for qualified or newly qualified nurses and clinical sisters to join its new integrated community nursing teams as part of the Walsall Together Partnership.  Health visitors are also being invited to join the organisation to ensure the needs of Walsall families are being met and to help to continue to shape the service.

The last few months have highlighted the dedication and resilience of those working on the frontline of healthcare, demonstrating their unwavering commitment and passion in keeping the public safe.

During this time the role of the Community Nurse has never been so important in keeping people out of hospital and cared for at home.  Health visitors have also continued to work with families during this time, offering virtual support and face to face visits.

Kelly Geffen, Divisional Director of Nursing – Community, for Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust, said: “We are extremely proud of our Community Nurses and the work they do for their services and most importantly their patients.

“This is a great opportunity to join our team at a time when we are transforming the way community care is delivered. We are passionate about delivering high quality care and treatment for our patients in their own homes as well as creating a happy workforce for our staff. We can offer flexible working and there are lots of opportunities to develop, not just in community nursing, but within specialist nursing fields too.

“We are also looking for staff to join our Health Visiting Service too. Families have been through some extremely difficult times during the pandemic and our health visitors’ support has been invaluable.”

There are a number of opportunities for all the roles mentioned here. Anyone who is interested can apply using the links below, noting the closing date of Friday 16  July 2021:

Those shortlisted will be invited to a recruitment fayre on Saturday 24 July for an interview and a chance to meet some of the teams and find out more about the role.
