Volunteers who are making an invaluable contribution to Walsall Healthcare are now instantly recognisable – in their golden shirts, tabards and fleeces complete with a brand new logo!

Furloughed member of the public David Crittenden designed and created the logo  for our Voluntary Service.  And our volunteers certainly wear it well.

Volunteers Carole Mellar and Rekha Bhimji said: We love our new uniforms and the new logo can be easily recognised by staff and patients – everyone can see the badge and they instantly know we are here to help.”

Louise Mabley, Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust’s Head of Patient Experience, Volunteering & Self Care Management Programmes, said: “Thank you so much to David for coming up with this fantastic logo which means staff and patients can easily recognise the volunteers who are such an asset to our organisation.

“I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank the volunteers for everything they do to support the trust – whether it’s PPE runs, pharmacy runs, helping patients video call their relatives during restricted visiting arrangements or greeting patients on arrival to the hospital. We really appreciate them.”
