Chloe and community nurses rally round

2020-04-07T17:04:24+01:00Tuesday 7 April 2020|

Kind-hearted Community Staff Nurse Chloe Butler and her colleagues have been making sure their patients don’t go short during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Chloe sent a message round her colleagues in the North locality team based at Pinfold Health Centre asking them to pick up some extra items when they went shopping. The team has been making up hampers for patients in need.

Chloe, who has worked for Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust for nine years,  said: “Many of our patients just don’t have family members to call on and are not able to leave the house even for essentials because of their health conditions, or because they are shielding or self-isolating.

“It is such a worrying time for them so we decided to make things a little easier. We have also been leaving them contact details for Walsall Connections so they can have support in future.

“We treat our patients as we would our own families – sometimes we see more of them than our own families – and I’m really pleased that my fellow community nurses have supported this plea for help so enthusiastically.”
