Applications for research grants have been invited in advance, and a Dragons’ Den style session will see the bids presented and funding awarded.

The event will also hear from the Trusts’ Group Chief Executive Professor David Loughton CBE and Chairman Sir David Nicholson, plus a presentation from Clinical Research Network West Midlands Research Champion Anne Devrell, on the importance of patient and public involvement in research,

Pauline Boyle, Group Director of Research and Development, said: “Research is a key cog in the machinery of healthcare and we have some incredible work going on at both Trusts. This event will give staff the chance to share their ideas for research studies, and see what their colleagues are already achieving.”
