A stroke of luck through artist fundraisers

Six local artists have teamed up with Well Wishers to use their creative talents to help raise funds for the charity.

Artists Ann Hackett, Brenda Jenkins, Anila Patel, Simon Tew, Jean Walker and Elizabeth Whitehouse have all given their time and talents and donated pieces to be sold.

This displays of artwork can be seen by staff, patients and visitors when walking through the corridors of Walsall Manor Hospital. Each artist has their own style and no two pieces are the same.

The framed art pieces are now available to buy and not only will the buyer receive a one-of-a-kind piece but 20 per cent of the sales will actually come back into Well Wishers.

This means that the money raised will be able to go on things over and above what the NHS is able to provide which will allow patients, service users and families to receive the best experience possible.

Kim Aplin, Fundraising Support Officer, said: “We are so lucky to have such talented artists supporting our charity. I have seen all the pieces and they are fantastic; I wish I could buy all of them myself!

“It’s great that people will have the chance to purchase these unique pieces to take home and there is something for everyone to love.

“Thank you to all the artists for their generosity and allowing a proportion of the sales to go back to the charity which will go on to benefit so many.”
