  • A staff COVID-19 vaccination clinic has opened

A pop up clinic for Walsall Healthcare staff to receive their third COVID-19 dose or booster vaccination opened at the Manor Hospital today (Wednesday 10 November 2021).

The staff only service will run from 8am until 6pm, seven days a week until the end of January 2022. It is being housed in the Outpatients corridor near Route 006.

Lisa Carroll, Director of Nursing at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust, said: “Our staff have been working so hard during the ongoing pandemic to care for patients and support their families.

“We want to encourage them to remember their own health and wellbeing too and ensure they look after themselves ahead of what is expected to be a very challenging winter period for healthcare colleagues.  Vaccination will help to protect them and their loved ones as well as our patients and wider communities.

“We are pleased to be able to offer this pop up clinic so that ward staff in particular can get their vaccination easily and quickly.”

The pop up clinic will offer third doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to those who are immunosuppressed or booster vaccines for those eligible. Staff can just walk in and don’t need to book an appointment.

Information about vaccination is also available to help staff make an informed choice.

Members of the public can receive their jabs at the Saddlers Vaccination Centre which offers walk-ins and booked appointments daily between 8am and 7pm.
