Walsall Healthcare’s Well Wishers charity and Walsall-based solicitors Enoch Evans LLP are once again teaming up to run Make A Will Fortnight this month.

Make a Will Fortnight 2021 will run from 8 – 19 November and Enoch Evans LLP is offering its time and expertise to support people in getting their affairs in order.

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has prompted many families to talk about their wishes in the event of the death of a loved one, an often difficult topic to broach but an important one in these challenging times.

The suggested donation to the charity is £150 for a joint will and £85 for a single will. Appointments will be through Microsoft Teams as we continue to work to minimise infection risk in our communities.

Fundraising Manager Georgie Westley said: “We are pleased to be working with Enoch Evans once more and decided to run Make A Will Fortnight again this year as we know the ongoing pandemic has caused many of us to stop and reflect on our personal circumstances and wishes and review the provision we have made for our families.

“This is an opportunity for people to discuss their wishes and support our charity at the same time.”

Partner and Head of Wills, Tax and Probate at Enoch Evans LLP, Richard Neea added: “As Georgie points out, the pandemic has forced many of us to consider “What if…”

“We are a Walsall firm and this charity partnership means we are supporting not only residents but our local healthcare services too. Previous Make A Will Fortnights have seen us able to make donations towards refurbishing a sensory room for children with complex needs and disabilities in the community and fund virtual reality headsets for young adults.”
