Goscote Hospice

Goscote Hospice is a short stay unit open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The team aim to deliver high quality care for patients requiring symptom management to address physical, psychological, social and spiritual need.  We also deliver high quality care to patients at the end of their life.

The focus of our care is to enhance quality of life and understand what is important to you.

Some people maybe worried about coming the hospice, we would like alleviate your fears with our warm and friendly environment.

Our aim is to deliver individualised care to both patient, family and carers.  This may provide an opportunity to have conversations in an open and safe environment.  The hospice does not offer long term care, the average stay is around 2 weeks.  However we can support longer term care if it is needed.

Goscote Hospice has 12 beds, 8 single en-suite rooms and 2 same sex twin rooms.

*  Onsite catering team that work closely with the nursing team to provide nourishing choices to meet patients needs, providing cooked meals.  Snacks and drinks are available 24 hours a day.

Patients who require admission to the inpatient unit can be referred by their hospital palliative care nurse or community palliative care nurse.
