Quality Improvement Awards
The NHS is facing significant financial and operational pressures, with services struggling to maintain standards of care. Now, more than ever, local and national NHS leaders need to focus on improving quality and delivering better-value care.
All NHS organisations should be focused on continually improving quality of care for people using their services. This includes improving the safety, effectiveness and experience of care. (From Kings Fund publication “Making the case for Quality Improvement”)
The Quality Improvement (QI) Awards are an opportunity for doctors at Walsall Manor Hospital to showcase their work in QI projects, audits, surveys, review of service, simulation and medical education (Nurses, AHP and midwives may apply to the “Best Practice Day”).
The QI Awards event will be held on 3rd July 2019 in MLCC from 5pm to 8.30pm.
Abstracts for the event will be accepted during the month of May 2019. Please read the rules in advance before submitting your abstract for the QI Awards. Poster printing will be funded by the Trust.
The annual Medical Education Awards will also be presented at this meeting. The various awards are F1 of the year, Steph Clarke Memorial F2 of the year, Trainer of the year and a New Awards category – Non-Consultant doctor of the year (who best demonstrates Trust values).
