Student Charter

The NHS Library and Knowledge Services Student Charter sets out how NHS libraries support healthcare students during their practice placements. It outlines what students can expect from their library service, including access to reliable evidence resources, welcoming study spaces, and specialist librarian support.

The Charter also highlights our role in helping students develop strong information‑literacy skills—equipping them to find, evaluate and use evidence with confidence. It reinforces the partnership between Library & Knowledge Services and practice placement areas to ensure every student feels supported throughout their learning journey.
