Women of Walsall welcomed to health event

Calling all ladies across the borough! How clued up are you about important healthcare issues such as breast and cervical cancers, and screening?

Women across Walsall are being encouraged to become more proactive in their own healthcare by attending a Women’s Health information event to be held at Walsall Manor Hospital.

Come and learn more about important issues such as breast screening, cervical screening and bowel screening. Attendees will also be invited to participate in health checks and seek advice and support.

Sukhy Lally, Centre Co-ordinator at the Walsall Palliative Care Centre said: “The women’s health event is being held on Wednesday 14th October 2015 and starts at 2pm at the Manor Hospital.  The aim of the afternoon is to encourage women to become more proactive in their own health and social care.  On many occasions we always put others first and forget about ourselves and our own well-being; we are hoping that women attending the event will be empowered and inspired by our speakers and service providers (who will have promotional stands at the event).”

Family and friends are welcome to attend this event on Wednesday 14 October, 2pm – 4:30pm at the Sister Dora Lecture Theatre, Manor Hospital, 3rd Floor, Moat Road, Walsall, WS2 9PS.
