The service provides assessment, treatment and advice to people of all ages (both children and adults) with a speech, language, voice or communication difficulty. They also see people with a feeding or swallowing difficulty as part of a medical condition.
In adults, these difficulties usually occur as a result of a medical condition such as a stroke, parkinson's disease, head injury or cancer.
Advice, information and training is also offered to families, carers and other professionals.
We provide an adults service, a paediatrics service and a long term conditions (LTC) service for our patients.
