Helping children and young people to enjoy safe and happy friendships and relationships and understand how their bodies work is important to their overall health and development.
School Nurses have additional training in sexual health and wellbeing and can support schools to deliver good quality sexual health education. We have our own 'SRE toolkit’ hosted on the EasySRE website. All schools can access this resource free of charge and our service can support schools to use the resources.
We can also offer advice and support to individual children and young people who have been referred to our service.
We offer a confidential, anonymous text service called ChatHealth. This is a messaging service for young people aged 11+ who can text a school nurse for advice on health matters. We can provide a range of information, sign post to other services or offer to see the young people for a health review if requested to do so.
