A recruitment event to attract healthcare workers to Walsall will give some visitors the chance to be interviewed there and then.
The Recruitment Day, to be held on Thursday 8 September aims to show the opportunities and challenges that await prospective employees at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust.
Suitable candidates will be able to book a time and date to be interviewed for their chosen role, with Registered Nurses being offered interviews on the day itself.
Rachel Overfield, Director of Nursing at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust said: “We are looking for motivated individuals who are up for a challenge. Walsall Healthcare is a friendly organisation and we welcome new recruits who want to make a difference. We are currently working towards redeveloping key areas of our services which we hope will improve the experience for both our patient and staff.”
Visitors to the event will be able to meet a range of colleagues from across the organisation including nurses, clinical support workers and other healthcare professionals. There will also be the opportunity to find out more about apprenticeships and professional development.
“This is the chance to really find out everything you want to know about working in healthcare,” Rachel added. “You will be able to ask any burning questions and get honest answers from our staff,” Rachel added. “It will be an interesting and informative event.”
Those registered nurses who are looking to get back into a career in healthcare can find out more about returning to practice by having a chat with members of the Trust’s Practice Placement Team, who will also be on hand to offer advice and guidance.
The event will be held in the main atrium, Walsall Manor Hospital, Moat Road from 12-4pm.
Representatives from the Trust will also be attending a local recruitment event at the Old Square, Walsall on Friday 9th September. Staff from our Recruitment, Practice Placement and Professional Development Teams will be on hand from 11am – 3pm to offer guidance, information and answer questions to those interested in a career in healthcare.
