Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT)

What we do

We provide both general and specialist adult and paediatric ENT services and have a large audiology department. Patients have access to five ENT consultants, led by Clinical Director Mr Nick Turner, all of whom are at the forefront of developments in their field.

All five consultants are generalists with a special interest and two are twinned with Birmingham Heartlands Hospital. New developments at Walsall Manor Hospital include a specialist vertigo clinic and a Friday morning one-stop neck lump clinic offering fine needle cytology and ultrasound. Consultants also work closely with the maxillofacial department and benefit from the skills of an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Karen Mail, who is part of the ENT team.

We accept all ENT/Head and Neck conditions in adults and children. We see patients with ear, nose and sinus or throat and neck symptoms. These include deafness, dizziness, hoarseness, difficulty in swallowing, blocked nose and facial pain, and face or neck swellings. We have sub-specialist clinics in children's hearing, vertigo, nose and sinus disease, facial plastics, head and neck lumps, voice and thyroid disorders.
