What we do
We are a team of ten state registered dietitians responsible for providing advice on all aspects of nutrition for inpatients and outpatients at Walsall Manor Hospital and across the Walsall Health Economy.
Registered dietitians help promote nutritional well being, treat disease and prevent nutrition related problems. Our outpatient services include specialist clinics for gastroenterology, diabetes, weight management and paediatrics as well as general adult clinics.
Patients referred for weight management are seen by specialist dietitians in a variety of community settings. After an initial assessment appointment patients are able to access a number of follow up options including one to one appointments and group sessions or attend a programme tackling emotional eating run in conjunction with a psychotherapist. These patients are also able to self refer.
