Continence Service

What we do

We are a nurse led service offering holistic assessment, advice, treatment and management of bladder, bowel and continence related issues. We serve clients of all ages, both male and female, within the borough who are registered to a Walsall GP.  This service is provided within primary care clinics, clients' own homes (if housebound), residential care and nursing homes.

We develop and provide training to health care professionals on topics relating to bladder, bowel and continence issues including urinary catheterisation.

We develop policies, protocols and procedures in relation to this area of care to support and ensure best practice and high quality care for clients.

We manage a home delivery service for the provision of containment aids to clients who have been assessed and require ongoing management as part of their care.
