Acute Cardiology

What we do

The Cardiology service has four consultants and eight nurse specialists who offer both inpatient and outpatient services including a Heart Failure service, Rapid Access Angina Clinic and cardiac interventions. The Cardiac ward has five acute unit beds, 10 further telemetry beds and eight ward beds. In addition we have a Cardiac Unit which comprises of an angio suite and a pacing room. There are various outpatient clinics which run on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. We have close links with the cardiology services at the Heart and Lung Centre at The Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust and patients are transferred there for specialist interventions.
