Magician conjures up hospital smiles 

For five-year-old Walsall Manor Hospital patient Daisy Evans her stay on the paediatric ward ended up being a magical time – thanks to children’s entertainer David Oakley and his box of tricks.

Organised by Pod Charitable Trust, the performer’s visits are part of a nationwide project which organises entertainment for children in hospital; using magic, puppets and balloons across West Midlands’ hospitals with around 160 ward visits in a month.
